Composition roofs, often called asphalt shingle roofs, are made of layered shingles over underlayment and roof decking. They come in a range of colors and profiles and are widely used on homes of every style.

Tile roofing

Tile roofs are heavy, durable-looking and common on many California homes. The tiles themselves can last a long time, but the underlayment beneath them and individual cracked or slipped tiles may need attention.
